MXoN 2025: One team out, one team in

The  MXoN 2025 is approaching – from 3 to 5 October, the traditional Ironman Raceway The Motocross of Nations will once again be held in Indiana, USA. It is already clear: anticipation and excitement are high, but not every nation makes it to the starting gate. While Hungary had to cancel its participation, reports Latvia with a strong contingent.

Bitter rejection: Why Hungary is not there

Just a few weeks ago, there was hope: Hungary's association had launched a fundraising campaign to finance the trip to the USA. But in the end, the funds weren't enough. A sobering announcement followed on social media: budget insufficient, participation canceled.

It is particularly hard for Noel ZanoczFor the talented youngster, competing in the MXoN would have been a great opportunity to gain international experience at the highest level. Instead, he'll have to wait until 2026. That's when the Motocross of Nations will take place in Ernée, France – perhaps with Hungarian participation.

Latvia sets an exclamation mark

The mood in Latvia was completely different: Here the Ironman team was presented – and it was impressive.

• Jānis Reisulis, current European Championship leader in the 250cc class, will be MX2 start.
• Bruder Kārlis Reisulis goes in the MXGP-category.
• The trio is complemented by Pauls jonass, the experienced 2017 world champion, who in the Open-class is hunting for points.
• As a reserve Mairis Pumpurs ready.

A lineup that leaves you wanting more. Young talent meets international experience – exactly the right mix for surprises. Latvia's stated goal: the best team result in the country's history.

Behind the scenes: The budget decides

As great as the anticipation is, the logistics remain challenging. EUR 60.000 are needed to bring motorcycles, spare parts, equipment, and the team to America. The Latvian Federation is therefore relying on partners and sponsors to carry out this ambitious project. Looking forward

The  MXoN 2025 promises once again a motorsports festival of the highest order. The Ironman Raceway, built in 2012 and part of the international calendar since 2014, is considered a modern stage for great stories.

While Hungary has to skip this year, Latvia is bringing a formation that is sure to be a talking point in the coming weeks. The mix of Tragedy and Departure makes the Nations race exciting in advance – and on October 3rd the question will be: Who will make history?
