FIM Hard Enduro World Championship 2026: Nine rounds, three continents

FIM Hard Enduro World Championship 2026 Calendar

With the release of the new 2026 calendar, the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship shows where this still young, but now remarkably mature series is headed. Nine rounds spread across Europe, Africa, and North America – a program that not only sounds ambitious, but actually positions the World Championship as a global platform.

You can tell: This time, those in charge didn't want a patchwork approach, but a consistent strategy. And that's exactly what they found.

A season start that combines tradition and new beginnings

It all kicks off in April in the South of France, where the 24MX Alestrem Hard Enduro officially opens the season for the first time. An event that has been on the list of the toughest, yet fairest races for years – and is now deservedly part of the World Championship again.

From there, the caravan travels to Portugal for Extreme XL Lagares, before stopping in Idaho (USA) in June. The Silver Kings Hard Enduro has quickly become a highlight of the Western American circuit – and with its raw, unpolished character, it fits perfectly into the DNA of the World Championship.

New chapters: Italy twice represented – and Sweden on the calendar for the first time

In the height of summer, the series moves to Italy, where the Abestone Rodeo Miravalle awaits the riders as a new terrain for the first time. Tough, high-alpine, technical – the typical Italian mix.

Then comes a real novelty: Forza Orza in Sweden.
A debut that feels long overdue. The Scandinavian scene, with its coniferous forests, rocky slabs, and endless trails, has always shaped hard enduro, but usually in the shadow of other disciplines. Now it's getting a stage – and a big one at that.

A season finale that combines history and modernity

Afterwards, it's back to Italy for Wild Woods Extreme, before the calendar takes on its iconic form in autumn:

  • "Roof of Africa, the heart and historically the touchstone of every true hard enduro rider.
  • Sea to Sky, a festival nestled between beach, forest and mountain, which has been one of the most charming events on the calendar for years.
  • Hixpania, the modern final chapter, a race that attracts fans as well as top international drivers.

The fact that these three events together conclude the season shows that those in charge are consciously seeking a balance between tradition and further development.

2026 builds on 2025 – yet goes a step further

The 2025 season demonstrated just how spectacular hard enduro can be when drama, track variety, and the title fight converge. The emotional finale in Lesotho and the FIM Awards in Lausanne gave the series a significant boost.

The 2026 edition builds on this foundation but appears more structured, better planned, and more mature. It offers greater continuity, clearer processes, and a stronger identity. Hard Enduro will always remain untamed – but the World Championship behind it will become more professional.

And perhaps that is exactly the combination that will take the sport to the next level.

What remains? The realization that the 2026 World Cup holds true promise.

A promise to the riders that their discipline will be taken seriously. A promise to the fans that they can experience hard enduro worldwide. And a promise to the organizers that their efforts will be recognized.

Nine rounds, three continents, countless meters of elevation gain – and a World Championship that in 2026 seems more cohesive than ever before.
