The DMX calendar for 2026 is causing raised eyebrows.

Shortly after the ADAC MX Masters calendar, the updated calendar is now also available. Race calendar of the German Motocross Championship 2026 on the table. At first glance, much of it seems familiar, solid, and well-stocked. But on closer inspection, one doesn't stumble upon the start of the season – but rather upon a very special section in the calendar of DMX Ladies.

It's not the opening round, but rounds three and four that raise questions.

The start of the season itself gives no cause for discussion. The frowning only begins where things should actually be running smoothly: at the third and fourth rounds of the DMX womenAccording to current information, the female drivers are scheduled to... 1. May at the traditional race in Kamp-Lintfort compete – to just one day later, at 2. May, already back in Genthin to stand at the starting gate.

However, there is a gap between these two events. approximately 500 kilometersTwo DMX races on two consecutive days, separated by half a country – ambitious from a sporting perspective, and at the very least challenging from an organizational standpoint. Or to put it another way: This is less of a race weekend and more of a logistical challenge.

Behind the scenes, work is already underway.

It probably won't turn out to be quite as dramatic as it looks on paper. According to unconfirmed reports... A solution has already been worked on behind the scenes. For the women's category, this means: no reason to panic yet, but also no free pass for fixed weekend plans. The disclaimer "subject to change" takes on a very concrete meaning here.

Between race calendar and reality

The updated 2026 DMX calendar once again demonstrates the classic balancing act between sporting ambition and practical feasibility. Many races, many classes, many weekends – that sounds great. But when a sporting challenge turns into a logistical obstacle course, a second look is warranted.

The area around Kamp-Lintfort and Genthin is a good example of this. Nothing is final yet; discussions, postponements, and sorting are still underway. And that's exactly what's needed.

No reason to get worked up yet – but something to think about.

The 2026 DMX calendar isn't a false start, but it's not a sure thing either. The third and fourth rounds of the Women's DMX, in particular, show that fine-tuning is needed. Or to put it another way: the calendar is set – but hopefully the budget pen is ready.
